Electronic Signatures for Chain-of-Custody
Many organizations have self-serve file tracking, and many government offices require that recipients of files sign a registry book and/or sign their name on the file folder with the date/time that the custody of the file was transferred to their custody.
Unfortunately, manual chain-of-custody signatures and processes are error prone and determination of a file’s location cannot be achieved through a database query. Electronic signatures save to a transaction history ‘chain-of-custody’ module within SmartTraxx software.
Chain-of-custody file folder transfer and return audit trail records can be viewed within SmartTraxx software and can be printed.
Electronic signatures provide extreme chain-of-custody verification. SmartTraxx also supports the use of fingerprints for highly secure document environments.
